Setting Up The Benches Safely

This is an important safety tip. If you do not set up the benches correctly, they may collapse under the people who sit on them.

There are two important aspects to setting up the benches correctly.

First, make sure to fully-deploy the legs and lock them in place with the rings:

Second, move the center lock to the “locked” position so that the pivot hinge in the middle of the benches cannot move:

Make sure also to put the bench on a stable surface, not too close to a curb or other ledge.
